Who is behind it
Before teaching the language,
I lived the game.
I’m Tiago. My story with languages began with a student-athlete scholarship in the United States. I played football, completed my degree and experienced, first-hand, the challenge of arriving in a new country.
It was on the pitch, in the dressing room and living alongside teammates from other countries that English and Spanish became part of my life.
FutLanguage was born from that: helping football professionals communicate, settle in and show everything they are worth.

Who is the FutLanguage programme for?
For people who work and live professional football at the highest level: players, head coaches, technical staff, sporting directors, scouts, agents and analysts. We also support players' families, referees, journalists, clubs and federations. If you need to give match instructions under pressure, lead a multicultural dressing room, run video analysis, give press conferences without a translator or close international contracts, training is designed around your role.
Are the lessons really 100% personalised?
Yes. No two plans are the same. We start with a detailed Game Diagnosis to map your current level, your next destination and your exact role in the club ecosystem. A head coach focuses on tactical team talks and press conferences; a player trains commands between the lines, quick replies to the bench and flash interviews; a scout or agent trains reports and contract negotiation.
Who are the teachers?
Specialist tutors who live and understand the reality of top professional football. The team includes official UEFA and CAF interpreters, former international players and sports communication specialists, fluent in the 9 languages we cover (English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Arabic, Romanian, Polish and Portuguese). You won't waste time explaining to your teacher what a "cover", a "deep line" or a "defensive transition" is.
How does the platform work between sessions?
Everything from your one to one sessions is recorded digitally. You have ongoing access to an exclusive interactive platform where you review the tactical notes and corrections from each session, practise with the virtual tactics board (drawing plays and recording the explanation in audio) and train pronunciation with a library of tactical phrases and real match terminology. You also keep ongoing WhatsApp support, with replies in under 24 hours.
What is the NPA Method and the "transfer gap"?
Most professionals struggle abroad because the brain freezes between classroom theory and the speed of the pitch: the so called transfer gap. Our NPA Method removes that barrier in 3 steps. Neuroactivation: a warm up that gets your brain thinking and talking about your immediate routine in the target language. Contextual practice: simulation of real scenarios from your role (video analysis, team talk, a tense moment with the referee, a press interview). Automation: repeating game patterns until communication comes out without thinking or translating in your head.
How do I fit sessions around matches, travel and training camps?
The sporting calendar comes first. We adapt the frequency (up to 3 sessions a week) to your training and match microcycle. You also get the Camp Pause: if you go to pre season camp or are called up to the national team, your programme pauses and you pick up exactly where you left off, without losing sessions.
What if I'm transferred to a country with another language during the programme?
We activate our Transfer Clause. If you change club and need a different language (for example, you were preparing French and an opportunity comes up in England or Saudi Arabia), the remaining sessions in your plan are immediately moved to the new language at no extra cost.
Is there a guarantee on the investment?
Yes. We offer the First Session Guarantee: you take your first one to one session with your specialist tutor. If within 24 hours of that session you feel the method is not right for your professional demands, we refund 100% of what you invested, no questions asked and no contractual friction.
What happens in the free Game Diagnosis?
It is a 30 minute online conversation in which we assess your current level, your role, your next destination and the situations in which you need to communicate. At the end, you know where to start and which training rhythm fits your season. There is no commitment.
Do I need to already speak the language?
No. The diagnosis identifies your current level and training starts from there, adapted to the situations in which you need to communicate, even if you are starting from zero.
Are the sessions online?
Yes. Sessions are one to one and online, so you can train from the training ground, the hotel or home, wherever the calendar takes you.
Can clubs work with FutLanguage?
Yes. We help clubs and federations integrate foreign players and staff, with lessons for the squad and coaching staff, document translations and interpreting, including press conferences.
Can players' families take lessons too?
Yes. Adapting to a new country is a family matter. Players' families get training focused on everyday life: school, doctor, home, shopping and social life, so the whole family feels at home sooner.
